Allison Barclay is the Chief Executive Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of North County, where she oversees one Club site and seven ASES school sites. These programs are supported by over 50 dedicated and enthusiastic Club professionals. Allison has over 25 years of experience with Boys & Girls Clubs and most recently was the Vice President for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake, where she worked for over 18 years.
Allison earned her degree in Recreation Management Administration, with a minor in Communications from Brigham Young University. While on summer and holiday breaks from college, she worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Escondido, where she developed a passion for the mission of the Clubs.
Lisa Ware, Director of Operations, has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County for over 10 years. Lisa started her career with the Club as the site supervisor for the Potter Jr. High program. In 2005 Lisa was promoted to ASES Director and developed the current ASES after school programs that are held at Live Oak Elementary, Fallbrook Street School, William H. Frazier, Potter Jr. High and Vallecitos. She has been Director of Operations since 2006.
Lisa’s motto for her career with the Club has always been “lots of kids, lots of staff, and lots of laughs.” To her there is no better sound than a clubhouse filled with members and staff having fun.
Brian Astredo, Director of Development, has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County for 5 years. Brian has nearly 10 years of experience working for nonprofits in the area of development. Brian also brings over three years of experience working with children in after school programs and recreation.
Brian received his degree in Communications from Loyola Marymount University. He has enjoyed working with the community of Fallbrook in creating partnerships that help support our 2000 Club members.
Diane Fulcher has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County since 2005. Her passion is her family, children, helping others, making a difference, face painting, swimming and art. Diane and her husband Danny have been therapeutic foster parents for over 12 years and in 2008 she was nominated by her foster son and won San Diego’s Best Mom award.
She loves having the opportunity to directly see the benefits and impact the Boys & Girls Club has on the community and children everyday.
Emily Kenner, Program Director of Program Services at the Ingold Unit, has been with the Boys & Girls Club for over 11 years. Emily has a heart for the Club, members and their families, and believes that the programs provided at the Ingold Unit will help our members reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Emily received her degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Children’s Services at Cal State San Marcos. Emily started her career at the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County in 2007 as a Youth Development Professional. From there she went on to become an Interim Supervisor for Fallbrook Street ASES Program, and a Literacy Coordinator at Vallecitos in 2014. In 2016, Emily was the Supervisor at Live Oak Elementary ASES Program.
Gabriel Gonzalez, Director of Transportation and Facilities, has been with the Boys & Girls Club for over 21 years. Gabriel enjoys making an impact on Club members lives by introducing them to programs that practice healthy life styles, academic success, good character and citizenship.
Gabriel attended The Art Institute of Laguna Beach, California, and has received numerous trainings from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Gabriel has also been certified by the American Coaching Academy, and enjoys every opportunity he gets to coach and referee in one of the Club’s numerous sports programs. When Gabriel isn’t working at the Club, he enjoys participating in a variety of hobbies that include art, mix martial arts, physical training, collecting comic book & action figures, creating haunted houses, gardening, and cooking. Gabriel has served as a sergeant in the Army Reserves for eight years and has one tour of duty in Iraq. When asked, Gabriel will tell you that his greatest achievement was when he married his wife Dawn.
Jessica McColgan is the new Site Supervisor at Maie Ellis’s after school program.
Cindy Avelar is the supervisor at Fallbrook Street School for the before and after school program. She loves to help the kids with art, but more importantly enjoys seeing their smiling faces day in and day out. Cindy was chosen at the Staff of the Year for 2011 because of her commitment to the children. She is a great asset to the our dedicated team.
Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and friends creating new memories and loves to hang out at the beach. Cindy would like to travel to Europe and visit Walt Disney World again!
Monica Mendez is the new site supervisor at Vallecitos Elementary School.
Michael Lopez is the new Site Supervisor at Live Oak Elementary School ASES site.
Jessie Garibay, the Site Supervisor for William H. Frazier, has been working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County since 2013. Jessie is attending Mira Costa College where he is studying Child Development. Jessie looks forward to opportunity of leading the William H. Frazier site and continuing to build on the program’s excellent reputation in the community.
Raul Perez is the Athletic Director at the Ingold Unit.
